Enhance your community through public service
The Master of Public Policy (MPP) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) at McGeorge School of Law are the first programs of their kind to be offered by a law school. The MPP and MPA programs are designed to prepare students to lead successful careers in public service.
We provide rigorous policy and leadership education that gives students the knowledge and skills to address complex social issues. With our focus on the interconnections of law, policy, management, and leadership, students gain a deep understanding for statutory interpretation and regulatory processes critical to modern governance. In addition to their degree, students can pursue interdisciplinary concentrations in Environmental & Water Policy, Capital Policy Making, Public and Non-profit Leadership, or Policy Change, Institutional Reform, and Sustainability (MPA only). We also offer hybrid, evening, and weekend classes to accommodate working professionals and students who want to dedicate more of their time to public service. Students can enroll as part-time or full-time and adjust their schedule as needed.
By providing students comprehensive curriculum with a schedule that is flexible to fit their needs, graduates are equipped to positively impact communities in a variety of public, private, and nonprofit systems. Study at McGeorge – in California’s Capital City – where students can analyze, observe, and engage in today’s critical issues.
